CHU up for three awards in the Australian Insurance Awards

We are delighted to announce that CHU is a finalist in three categories of the prestigious Australian Insurance Industry Awards.

CHU is a finalist in Underwriting Agency of the Year, Women’s Employer of the Year and Insurtech Program of the Year.

Last year CHU won the Underwriting Agency of the Year award. CHU has progressed further on its journey since winning the 2017 award and we believe this is reflected in CHU being named a finalist again this year.

We remain committed to meeting the needs of the strata community – offering “Solutions for modern living”. We recognise the need to constantly improve. We need to understand, meet and sometimes pre-empt the emerging needs of our customers.

It’s especially pleasing to see CHU nominated as a finalist for the Women’s Employer of the Year award.  CHU prides itself on appointing the right person for the role, regardless of their gender. Throughout its 40-year history, CHU’s employee mix has been consistently over 60% women distributed across all levels of the business, uncommon in the broader insurance industry.

CHU are leaders in the digital revolution of strata insurance. This has been acknowledged by CHU being named a finalist in this year’s Insurtech Program of the Year award for the establishment of our own disruptive insurtech  – StrataTech.

StrataTech is a full service policy management platform, with a focus on allowing intermediaries, partners and customers to self-service their insurance, giving them 24-hour access to manage their quotes and policies from anywhere. This functionality has previously been unavailable within strata.

To be selected as finalists for three awards is a significant achievement in a highly competitive industry.

Much of CHU’s success is down to our strong relationships with our intermediaries and customers. Equally important, the nominations for the awards reflect the hard work and enthusiasm of CHU’s staff
