Fraser Gow named Rising Star 2022

Insurance Business (IB) identified the Australian insurance industry’s rising stars for 2022 by inviting professionals from across the industry to nominate their most exceptional young talent aged 35 or under as of May 31, 2022. The nominee had to be working in a role that related to, interacted with, or impacted the general insurance industry and be committed to a career in insurance with a clear passion for the industry.

We are thrilled to announce that CHU's very own Fraser Gow has been named as a Rising Star for 2022.

Fraser Gow has had an impressive rise through the ranks of CHU Underwriting Agencies. Starting as a team leader in the Customer Service division in 2020, he quickly built an excellent profile within the organisation, as well as externally in the strata insurance market.

Fraser has since become CHU’s head of customer service, and additionally the head of direct business, a $20m+ portfolio of business focused on the direct-to-consumer market. Additionally, Fraser has taken on responsibility for reinvigorating CHU’s environmental and sustainability pillar in which he leads a select team of passionate members who ensure market leadership of the organisation’s environmental commitments.

Along with a strategic mindset, Fraser possesses an unwavering commitment to customers. He is resolute about constantly improving customer experience and challenges every person to make strategic decisions with customers in mind. Aspiring to lead an organisation as a C-level executive, he actively seeks out opportunities to expand his knowledge and sees a bright future for the industry and its people. He has enjoyed a transition from operational to strategic roles and relishes the opportunity to implement growth strategies that have tangible and lasting impacts for CHU and the wider industry.

Fraser completed his MBA, majoring in executive leadership, in late 2022. While he has already used learnings from this program to support functional decision-making in his current role, he appreciates the opportunity to put his education into practice.
